Every April 18th, all the hams in the world will celebrate the day on the air. And in early April 18th in 1925, many hams met in Paris, and they built IARU to support all the ham radios. Since then, IARU has worked on the ham frequency assignment and protection. Today, over 3 million licensed operators on amateur radios, and amateur radios become more popular than before.
On this World amateur radio day, IARU announces that Human Security for All, HS4A, will be the theme of World amateur radio day on 18 April 2023.
And too many hams are using ham radios in some disasters, and they can build the communication network to protect human security. And it is a reliable communication tool in global communications. And based on the advantages of ham radios, ham radios are always used in rescue and prepping. In recent years, Covid-19, the war in Ukraine, and meteorological disasters affect our everyday life and human security. And one of the campus students said it is urgent to have a digital ham radio in Turkey because it is necessary for earthquakes. From 11th April to 25th April, you can listen to the broadcast about human security for all, and you can participate in some activities on the air to promote ham radios and celebrate World amateur radio day.
