During our daily customer service work, so many customers ask the questions for, how to programme analog radio to talk?
For analog radio communication, just set all communication channels with same frequency and CTCSS/DCS is ok. You need programme inside software.
Below we will take analog radio RT29 and analog radio RT22 communication as an example to show the steps.
Step 1: RT29 programming (programme and check what’s the frequency and CTCSS/DCS inside RT29 radio)
1.Download and install RT29 USB driver and software in below link:

2.Connect RT29 with PC, using RT29 programming cable :https://www.retevis.com/usb-programming-cable-for-ailunce-hd1-dmr-radio/
We will find RT29 software interface as below:
3.Click settings, choose the PORT you see inside your PC “device manager”–> Click OK.
4.Click Programme–> Read from Radio
You will get RT29 default frequencies inside software.
Step 2: RT22 programming
1.Download and install RT22 USB driver and software in below link:

2.Connect RT22 with PC, using RT22 programming cable C9018A:

We will find RT22 software interface as below:
3.Click Program–> Communication Port
4.Program–> Read Data From Radio
Finally, inside RT22 soft ware channels:
Edit exact same RX frequency , TX frequency, CTCSS/DCS Decode, CTCSS/DCS Encode as RT29 above,
If you want to talk RT29 and RT22 in 5 channels, then programme the 5 channels to be same, if you only want them to talk on channel 1, then edit RT22 on channel 1 only, leave other channels frequency as it is, different from RT29 channels is ok.
Finally, write to radio to SAVE.
This way, RT29 channel 1-5, can talk with RT22 channel 1-5.
In all, read from radio A to check what its frequency and CTCSS/DCS is, then edit inside radio B, to be with same frequency and CTCSS/DCS on the communication channel is ok . It’s easy.
