Retevis RB86 mobile radio is a new IP67 waterproof GMRS radio that can be mounted on your vehicles. And you can also connect to your GMRS radio and GMRS repeater if you are always working alone or need more communication with others. And now, let’s start to learn how to operate it on the front panel.

How to operate the buttons?
You can use the Main Dial knob to change the frequency, memory channel, and scan direction. When scanning, you can use the knob to change the scan direction.
Short press the Lo key to switch power output level and long press to switch the offset direction. However, you can switch the power at one time, and it cannot save if you switch to other channels. And you can find the High/Low power on the top-left corner.
The F key is a function key, and you can press the function key shortly and press other keys to set up the shortcut keys. Please see the detailed operation in the next part. And the same function on hand Mic.
You can switch the CTCSS/DCS codes by CT/T.S key.
Long press the V/M key to store the channel. When you long-press the key, the channel will flash, you can change the frequency on the current channel.
Short-press to switch the home screen and sub-screen.
How to use the Function shortcut keys?
F+0: adjusting the keystone. When you press the F key, the Fun sign will flash, and press the 0 key on Mic, there will be an alert sign on the screen, which means the keystone is activated. Repeating the operation can cancel the keystone function.
F+1: Scanning. When you are in channel mode, press the Scan key or press the F key and the 1 key on Mic can start scanning. And you will see a Magnifying glass icon on the screen. And you can rotate the knob on the left side can change the scan direction, or you can press the plus/Minus key to change the direction. If the margin channel is available, press the Mz key or D key to switch the style of scanning.
F+Mz/ST(2 key on Mic): The way to set up the emergency alarm function, both local emergency alarm and remote emergency alarm.
F+Tone(3): To set up the CTCSS/DCS codes. However, if you want to use the function, the current channel must have a CTCSS/DCS code. Rotating the Main Dail to change the codes.
F+4: Time out timer. And press the 4 key on Mic to switch the time.
F+5: Lock the keyboard.
F+A/B key(6): Setting up the squelch level. Enter the squelch level mode and press the A/B band or 6 key or the Main Dial knob to adjust from 0 to 9.
F+7: The backlight time. You can change always open/5s/10s when you press the 7 key on Mic or rotate the Main Dial knob.
F+8: It is the way to switch the High/Mid/Low power.
F+VFO: You can remove all the information on the current channel when you press the VFO key while the Fun sign flashing.
F+VM: Channel copyright. Press the Call/VM key to copy the current channel to the next channel.
