Recently, we got some customers emails saying they can’t program the new HD1 but there was no problem updating firmware on Windows 10 system.
This may be because Windows will auto-install a driver itself, and the HD1 software does not identify the HD1 cable’s driver. So please have a try to do the below operation:
Find your computer device manager.
When you connect your radio to your computer through the programming cable. You can find the serial port on the device manager-Port list. Left-click the serial port and click the ‘update driver’. Then, choose the second one ‘browse my computer for drivers’.
Choose the driver of HD1.
The next step confirms it until it updates the driver.
Go back to the software choose the correct com port and try to read or write again.
Here are the changes to the new HD1
- Check the S/N number. New HD1 has a ‘(B)’ of the SN number.
- Firmware. The firmware version is ‘V2’ on your new HD1 ham radio.
- Software. The latest software version is V3.02. You can download it from our website.
- The new version fixes the white screen problem.
