How to Program RT48 to Talk with RT29?

Retevis two way radios RT48/648 and RT29 are both IP67 waterproof two way radios. They can be used in a wide scenaries, such as : business use for security, restaurent, outdoor activities and so on. How to Program RT48 to Talk with RT29?

Although they are different radios, but for all Retevis analog , the programming way are same.

Here is the steps:

First , they need use with a programming cable (SKU J9131P) and their software ( you can ask the software from us after you buy),and the software only support the windows system.

Second: You can install the driver and software on your computer, then you power on the radio and link the radio by the programming line to your computer.

Choose the right COM port for the programming cable, check whether the port is displayed normally by (My Computer-Management-Device Manager-Port).

Then open the software of RT48/648: then you can chang and see the frequency appear on the software.

Then you can write the TX and RX frequency you want and make sure it is same frequency and CTCSS/DCS on both RT48 and RT29, after edit the frequency, remeber to click the ” Program ” to write the data to the radios.

Then the two way radios can talk with each other.

  1. Can the frequency be changed in the RT48 programming? I have tried several times but it wont let me open it to change. Im needing to change it to talk with our school radios

    1. RT48 is the license-free waterpoof radio, with the FRS band, so you may not change the frequency.
