How to set RT87 scrambler function?

Scrambler is a speech encryption function to make communication secret. two radios can’t communicate each other under different scrambler number, or one scrambler set scrambler, another can’t, they also can’t. How to set RT87 scrambler function?

The first RT87: we call radio A

TX frequency: 435.23500
TX frequency: 435.23500
DCS/CTCSS: None
Scrambler number:5

The second RT87: we call radio B

TX frequency: 435.23500
TX frequency: 435.23500
DCS/CTCSS: None
Scrambler number:5


After set both radio A and B, write radio to save all settings, then try to make A talk B, you will find they can talk each other. If change scrambler number other, like 3, Radio A will can’t talk with radio B.
