How to set up DTMF of HA1G
Retevis HA1G is a newly released walkie-talkie from Retevis. It is a rugged and long-range IP67 Waterproof GMRS radio with NOAA function. This blog explains how to set up HA1G’s DTMF function.
1/What is DTFM?
DTMF (Dual Tone Multi Frequency) consists of a high frequency group and a low frequency group. The high and low frequency groups each contain 4 frequencies. A high-frequency signal and a low-frequency signal are superimposed to form a combined signal, which represents a number. DTMF signaling has 16 codes. DTMF signaling can be used to selectively call the corresponding radio.
2/How to set up DTMF of HA1G
1.DTMF code sending method
1) Send DTMF using PTT ID
① Set by programming software: “DTMF Setting”->”Common set”->”PTT ID Type”: BOT, EOT, Both
② Set through the radio menu: “MENU”->”Signaling”->”Common Setting”->”PTT ID Setting”>”Type”: BOT, EOT, Both
Note:
BOT: Send DTMF when pressing the [PTT] key
EOT: Send DTMF when releasing the [PTT] key
Both: Send DTMF when pressing and releasing the [PTT] key
2)Send DTMF via quick call list
The walkie-talkie enters the DTMF fast call list (Fast Call list), selects the DTMF ID prestored in the list, and presses the [MENU] key to send. Each DTMF system list can preset 10 fast call IDs.
①Set the fast call list through programming software: “DTMF Setting”->”DTMF list”->Select the list to be set>”Fast Call list”->Set Fast call 1-Fast call 10 as needed;
②Enter the fast call list through the walkie-talkie menu: “MENU”->”Signaling”->”DTMF Signal”->Select the list you want to use->”Fast Call list”.
③Enter the fast call list through the side keys: Preset the top key or side key function to the “Optional DTMF Code” function, and then operate the key to quickly enter the Fast Call list
HA1G has IP67 waterproof function, which can ensure people’s communication in various harsh conditions, such as wild travel, cycling, hiking, paddle boarding or kayaking. Hams also hope they can add multiple repeaters with different PL tones, and hopefully have more custom channels. HA1G can program the same GMRS relay frequency point with different sub-channel channels and will meet their needs. At the same time, HA1G supports Type-C charging and charging base, which is more convenient and fast. If you are interested in HA1G, please feel free to contact info@retevis.com.
