1/How many channels does RB89 have?
RB89 is GMRS radio with 30 channels, 22 FRS channels and 8 repeater channels.
2/Can the RB89 connected to other Bluetooth devices?
The walkie-talkie is Bluetooth compatible with Bluetooth 5.0 and above.
3/Can I change the frequency of RB89?
RB89 is GMRS licensed radio. Regulations require that the frequency is fixed and cannot be modified.
If you like the appearance and function of RB89, you can consider another version of RB89: RB689, which has 16 channels and the frequency is UHF (400-470MHz). You can change the frequency or other settings in the software.
4/How to lock the channel?
Define the PF1/PF2 key as the key lock function through the programming software.
Press and hold the PF1/PF2 button, the walkie-talkie will make a “beep” sound to turn on the channel lock function. And a lock icon will appear on the display. At this time, you cannot adjust the channel.
Press and hold the PF1/PF2 button again, and the walkie-talkie will make a beep sound to turn off the channel lock function.
5/How to remove the QT/DQT?
RB89 supports a total of 260 groups of sub-tone code functions. If you don’t need it, you can select QT/DQT to off in the programming software, and then write to the radio.
6/How to turn on the flashlight?
Define the PF1/PF2 key as the flashlight function through the programming software.
Long press the PF1/PF2 key to turn on the flashlight, and repeat the operation to turn off the flashlight.
7/How to scan?
Define the PF1/PF2 key as the scanning function through the programming software.
Press and hold the PF1/PF2 button, the walkie-talkie will make a “beep” sound to start the scanning function, and stop receiving signals when scanned a valid signal. Re-enter the scanning state 5 seconds after the signal disappears.
Long press the PF1/PF2 button again, the radio will make a “beep” sound to turn off the scanning function.
