Their functions are almost same, RT90 power up to 50W, because it used on the car, so it dont provide save power function. RT82 handheld radio has optional GPS function.

In summary, we can see that RT82 has same function with RT90. Only difference is they used on different scene. RT90 used on the car, Call operation is by hand microphone.Power supply is by vehicle battery. Because of the sufficient power supply, simplified the power saving function. As car move very fast, distance long, so power up to 50W.
RT82 is portable radio, takes lithium battery,so it add power-saving function. Because walking distance is near, so the power is up to 5W.
In addition, You can also use same date on both radio. For example, Save your RT82 data as a .rdt file. Then open this file on RT90. so the RT82’s data will transfer to RT90.
