The longer communicate, the more watts you should purchase. This radio is 7w, so Retevis RT5 has a longer distance than BaoFengUV-5R.

3.It has Squelch function but BaoFengUV-5R not.0-9 grades helps you suppress background noise, enhancing signal sensitivity and sound clearly.
4.It comes with 1400 mAh Li-ion battery,BaoFengUV-5R is 1500 mAh battery.
5.It comes with USB charger and can charger anywhere you want, and it also supports car charger but BaoFengUV-5R not.
