GMRS radio is easy to apply for the license; they are high power and can connect to a repeater for further range. And off-roading activities are often in rare people places like mountains and fields, and they have some vehicles together. So, they need handy radios, mobile radios, or even a repeater to communicate with each other.

Mobile GMRS radios in off-roading

The RB86 is a 20W GMRS car radio, and 4 kinds of antennas can be used on your vehicle. If you do not want to drill your car, you can choose an antenna with a magnetic base and put your radio in the free grid on your center stack. The functional mic can also help you operate the radio, you can press the number buttons to choose the call channels.
So, if you are an off-roading enthusiast, you cannot leave a radio, even if you are not a GMRS operator. You can also use other radios, like simple ham radios, if you need more functions or contacts.
