Private call: one-to-one, no matter you two are in one group or not, you can make a private call.
But for HD1, a popular dual band DMR radio for amateurs. How to do a Private Call on this radio?
There have 3 ways to set private call on HD1.
Software Programming
Two radios: HD1 A and HD1 B
1,HD1 A setting:
Set the Priority contacts, fill another radio B call ID .
Set the channel information, choose the contact Radio B.
2,HD1 B setting:
Set the Priority contacts, fill another radio A call ID .
Set the channel information, choose the contact Radio A.
Make sure A and B with the channel information same: frequencies, time slot, color code.
Program your HD1 by FPP (Front panel programmable)
1,Set two radios ID. Then set two radios contacts.
Menu-Contacts-Add a contact
Radio A contact: Radio B radio ID, type Private
Radio B contact: Radio A radio ID, type Private
2,Make sure your radio is in VFO mode. Input the frequency you want.
3,Click Menu-Band A set ( if you set the frequency with the Band B, choose B)-Confirm
4,Set the color code, the time slot.
5,Contact: choose the right contact.
Manual Dial
Make sure you know the another radio ID, then you can dial the ID to make a private call.
