I noticed there is software download for the RT16 and I wanted to know what programing cable is used? Can you program the CTCSS or DCS codes?
Hi, for RT16, there has the software!
if you only need to change the CTCSS or DCS, you can directly change it by its function button.
Press Menu one time, you will see the Rx code, then press the menu again, it will offer you to change the code. Then go back to the menu, press 2 times will see the Tx code to change.
How to change the mode from FRS to PMR on the RT16 radios? The programming cable and software is able to read the data from the radio, but writing to the radio is not possible!

hi, you can not change the FRS to PMR446. Because different countries use the different band license-free radio
5 year old grandson received these as a gift. 2 way worked when we took them out of box. lots of button pushing… How can I get them to wrk as 2 walkie talkies again. explaination needs to be pretty simple 😐

I can not find the software for this radio…. I have chirp but there is no retevis rt17 or baofeng bf-u9 which is similar. What software can I use?
