On the top of the radio, there are 2 knobs to switch the volume and channel. NR30 GMRS version with a fixed antenna but NR630 with a removable antenna, what’s more, there is a small orange button, it is the emergency button. On the left side, there are a PTT button and 2 function buttons, and the connector is on the right side.
The functions on the radio buttons
Emergency button. Short press to activate the emergency alert, and long press the button for a group call.
PF1 button. Short press to monitor the current channel and long press to switch the transmit power.
PF2 button. Short press to scan the channel and long press to activate the noise-reduction function.
However, the functions on the side keys can be programmed on the software. The programming cable is J9131P, the same as HD1 and RT29 popular radio. And you can set up your radio on the software. Look at this screenshot of the radio. You can also download the software from our website.
On the other side, the audio connector is a Motorola multiple-pin, you can use the same waterproof microphone as HD1.
