How do switch channels?
Press the Menu button to flash the channel number, and press the up or down button to switch the current channel. Then, press the PTT button to save and back to the menu.
How to switch the CTCSS/DCS codes?
Press the Menu button twice to flash the current CTCSS/DCS code setup, press the up or down button to switch the codes, and hold the up or down button to switch rapidly. Then, press the PTT button to save and return.
How to set up the call ring?
Press the Menu button for the third time. It will flash CA on the screen, press the up or down button to choose the call rings and you can hear the ring. Press the PTT button to save and return. If you set up 0, short press the CALL button is invalid.
How to activate the VOX function?
Press the Menu button 4 times, you can see VOX on the screen. Press the up or down button to choose the VOX level. Level 9 is super sensitive, level 5 is normal sensitive, and 0 is VOX off. Please notice, that there is a delay between speaking and transmitting.
How to switch high power and low power?
Press the Menu button 5 times, and it will flash ‘Pr’ on the screen. Press the up or down button to choose ‘LO’ or ‘HI’ power.
How to scan the calls?
Press the Menu button 6 times, and it will flash ‘SC’ on the screen. Press the up or down button to choose on or off. Press the scan button to start, the channel number will increase. Press the Menu 8 times, ‘U1’ will display on the screen. Press the up or down button to turn on or off the vibration function.
What about the NOAA function?
You can use receive the NOAA channel in the US and CA. More information about the NOAA channel can go there. Press the NOAA button to enter weather mode. Then, press the Menu button until the channel number flash, and press the up or down button to choose the channel. Long press the NOAA button to return. If you want to receive the weather alarm, you can double press the Menu button when you are in weather mode. Then, you can turn on or turn off the alarm function. The weather alarm icon will show on the screen after turning on it.
