Retevis RT86S Business Radio with Display—RT86 upgraded version
Retevis recently launched a new commercial walkie-talkie: the upgraded version of RT86 — RT86S with LCD screen.
On the one hand, it increases the convenience of manual operation of commercial machines: in warehouses, summer camps, restaurants, security and other scenes where it is inconvenient to write frequencies on a computer, basic function settings can be made manually (such as changing sub-tones due to signal interference, etc.). On the other hand, the screen can intuitively show the battery power, channel, frequency and other information to prevent the shutdown from affecting work due to failure to pay attention to power consumption in time.
The following aspects are the upgrades of RT86S:
1/Appearance
RT86 has an invisible display. RT86S has an LCD screen and buttons. The transition from invisible display to LCD half screen not only improves the visual effect, but also adds buttons, making the operation more intuitive and convenient. (RT86S GMRS :button has an additional NOAA function.)

GMRS version integrates NOAA function for receiving weather broadcasts; UHF version is equipped with scrambling function to improve communication security.
2) One-click cancellation of sub-audio
Users can quickly turn off or turn on sub-audio of all channels through simple key operation, which greatly simplifies the setting process.
Steps: Long press [MENU] button to turn on the power in the off state, and turn it off with a “beep” sound (all channels of sub-audio in the standby interface automatically jump to OFF); repeat this operation, “beep” twice, and turn on sub-audio with one button (all sub-audio in the standby interface is turned on)
3) One-click switch to RT86 frequency
(GMRS and UHF are both available), which can directly communicate with the RT86 that has been purchased.
Steps: Press and hold the [PF1] key + [PTT] key to turn on the radio. When you hear three beeps, the channel switches to the 1-16 channel of the RT86. If you need to switch back, restore the machine to factory settings.
3) Quickly restore factory settings
To restore the RT86 to factory settings, you need to use a programming cable to connect the computer and the radio, then import the RT86 factory frequency file in the software, and finally write it to the radio.
Unlike the RT86, you can restore the RT86S to factory settings by pressing the button and selecting Reset in the menu item, which is faster and more convenient.
