How to choose your correct programming cable?

The following is the programming cable for most Retevis Kenwood 2-pin walkie-talkies(SKU: C9018A):
This cable can be used for RT10, RT15, RT17, RT18, RT22, RT21, RT24, RT26, RT27, RT50, RT76, RT81, RT22S, H777, H777S, etc.

SKU( J9110P) is a programming cable for RT3, RT3S, RT8, and RT52.

J9131P is the programming cable for HD1, HA1G, NR630, NR30, RT29, RT29D RT48, RB23, RB46.

SKU: J9137P is the programming cable for RT47, RT83, and RT87.

C9187A is the programming cable for RB75.
J9127P programming cable is for the RT82 radio.

Note: RB25 radio is a special programming cable that needs to be purchased on the Retevis official website.

HD1 programming problems generally come from the following reasons:

1. The programming cable is incompatible with the driver or computer system (programming cables have different versions);
For the new version of the programming cable; Support WIN 11 System. NOTE: If you plug in the programming cable to the computer, and it shows “USB READER (COM3)” in device manager, then your cable is a new version.
For the old version of the programming cable; Not support WIN 11 System. NOTE: If you plug in the programming cable to the computer, and it shows “Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port (COM6)” in device manager, then your cable is an old version.

2. Doesn’t plug the programming cable in properly;
3. The computer port damages or the machine programming port damages;

RT3S programming problems generally come from the following reasons:

1. The driver is not installed normally;
When installing the driver on Windows 10 and Windows 7 systems, please double-click dpinst_x86 to install.
When installing the driver on Windows 11 system, please double-click dpinst_amd64 to install.
2. Doesn’t plug the programming cable in properly;
3. The computer port damages or the machine programming port damages.
