What ctcss and/or dcs codes are programmed for each channel with factory settings?
I’m confused. You said that ctcss or did can keep others outside your group from hearing your conversation. Well I tried useing the cross and red codes with one radio and was receiving the transmission with another radio. I was using boafeng radiosm. I wanted. To see if it ealdmake a conversation a little more private. Why could I hear the transmittion with the codes in place?
hi, when two radios can be talked and listened to each other, if means the radios with the same settings, same TX and RX frequencies, and CTCSS/DCS.
If you can hear others, but others can’t hear you, it means you haven’t set the CTCSS/DCS, others set it.
So if you want to make more private conversation, please use the different CTCSS/DCS.
