It would be nice, if you add the possibility to enable/ disable the compander.
    Thanx

  2. I tried using this radio to listen to local police and fire, but it sounds like robots talking! The beat shift shows being off, but it comes back on automatically..

  3. good morning
I have encountered a problem with the RT7 radio program.
does not allow me to put in the frequency type 433.200
    but only 433,000.
have you also had this problem?
can you give me indications of previous versions but working ??.
    thank you

  4. Sorry, but RT7 does not connect to Windows-10-Tablet nor Linux-Ubuntu-PC (using WINE)!
It is an USB-Problem, though I have installed both, USB-UNIVERSAL-Driver and RT7-Software from your site.
I have tried several COM-PORTS ( Port 3 , 5 , 10 and other) and it always says “Equipment not recognized”.
    What can I do?
    Thanks for support!

    1. hi, usually if you met the problem about ” equipment not recognized”, means the cable doesn’t work!
May I know which programming cable you used? another question is you need to check the driver, to make sure your computer recognize the cable and radio.

      1. Hello, thanks for answering!
I use RETEVIS-Cable which is announced as compatible for RT-1, RT7 and Baofeng UV5. Since I have several cables, I also tried an original cable for BAOFENG UV5R, always with the same negativ event.
As USB-Driver, I am using the UNIVERSAL USB-Driver from Your site for RT7.
        Thank You for helping me.
        Regards Alex

I am using original retevis-cable provided for RT1, RT7 and BAOFENG UV5 and I tried another cable which is for Baofeng UV5R, both with negative result.
I have installed the Retevis Universal-USB-Driver for RT7 and RT7 Software.
Please give me advise, what to do.
