Some customers after purchase RT3S,sometimes they will say the keyboard is useless,they will find out that keyboard is no respond when press the buttons.This maybe the keyboard islocked.When RT3S keyboard is locked,you can’t go into menu,you also can’t operate any features.Equally ,when you don’t want others operate your radio.you can lock it.So how tooperate this function of RT3S?And how to unlock it?Let learn it together.
1.Please download USB universal driver and RT3S software from Retevis official website freely: https://www.retevis.com/resources-center
2.Please connect your RT3S with computer,you need use RT3S program cable,you can get it in Retevis website: https://www.retevis.com/original-usb-programming-cable-for-retevis-rt3-rt8-radio
3.After connect RT3,please turn on the radio,
4.Click “General Setting-Set keyboard lock time”,you can select “manual,5,10 or 15”,as the picture shows:
5.After select corresponding time,press “* keyboard”,then RT3S is locked.
Attention please,if you select “manual”,RT3S can’t lock automatically.Please long press “* keyboard” to lock.
When you select 5.if you don’t operate RT3S after 5s,the radio will locked automatically.
If you want to unlock,just press menu and “* keyboard”to unlock RT3S.
Is it so easy,right?when you set lock,you will not operate your radio by mistake,it’s so safety.So it is a very useful function.
