1. Install USB driver
It’s very necessary if you want to programme a walkie talkie, most of the radios use the universal USB driver
Please download and install the USB driver by this link on www.retevis.com

Only a few radios use specific USB drivers, like HD1, RT3S
The same way as you download a universal USB driver, pls check and download under the support of page of ads
2. Install programming software

3. Need a correct programming cable
Normally, the Kenwood 2 pin connection radio, the programming cable is C9018A

Some radios have a specific programming cable, like RT29, RT83

There are three important points please note
1. Pls make sure you’ve successfully installed the USB driver and programming software
2. Pls keep connecting tightly from the radio to the computer by programming cable
3. Check your ‘Device manager’ to check the communication port if it keeps as the communication port of the radio
